Daniel was born in London and initially trained as an actor at LAMDA on a dance and drama scholarship, graduating from the BA course in 2004. He began writing and directing professionally in 2010 and went on to co-founded Firehouse Films, a platform for filmmakers to experiment and hone their skills. The fourteen films produced screened at festivals internationally. In 2015 Daniel wrote/directed the award winning short film I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU starring Screen International Star of Tomorrow McKell David. The film premiered at the London Short Film Festival. After receiving a R&D grant from Arts Council England in 2016, Daniel directed YOLO, a verbatim theatre piece investigating teenage attitudes towards sex, the internet and body-image. He toured the UK, broadening YOLO’s engagement by running free acting workshops with youths aged 14-18 with no experience of theatre or acting. Since then Daniel has developed a slate of film projects with producer Xenia Glen (Misfits Entertainment) including the award winning PORCELAIN - funded through the Ex-Animo Foundation, MUTE, BOUND and FOXHOLE, as well as working as director and editor on commercials for Ralph Lauren, Martini, Grey Goose, Savoy Hotel and the W Hotel. In 2018 Daniel was selected for the BFI NETWORK X BAFTA CREW filmmaker development scheme
